Game Programmer

Big Blue Bubble is currently seeking programmers who are interested in a career within the gaming industry. Big Blue Bubble offers an outstanding team environment where fun is at the center of everything they do - from the games they create, to the environment they work in. The successful candidate will be developing innovative technologies for use in our future games.

The successful candidate must have:

•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
•    Strong knowledge of C++ or Java
•    Excellent problem-solving skills
•    Solid knowledge of software design concepts, such as object-oriented programming, common design patterns, and game development lifecycles
•    Strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality in their work
•    Passion for video games
•    Highly motivated with a positive, professional attitude
•    Dedicated team player who embraces new ideas and challenges

Preference will be given to candidates with:
•    Strong background in one of the following specialties: 3D Graphics, Physics, AI, or HCI
•    Experience developing in any of the following platforms: J2ME, BREW, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, DirectX or other PC game platforms
•    Working knowledge of software engineering practices, such as unit testing and agile development models
•    Industry or hobbyist experience (group experience strongly preferred)


Applicants must be able to work in Canada and willing to relocate to London, or meet both of these requirements in a short time frame.
